The task of Deputy UN envoy to Yemen, Mo'in Shrimm, which made him visit Sanaa to meet the Iranian Houthi militias failed.

The Saudi newspaper, Okaz, quoted sources in Sanaa as saying that the mission of Deputy United Nations envoy Mo'in Shrimm to the capital, did not achieve its objectives in light of the rejection of the militias of the previous UN proposals developed by the international envoy Ismail Ould Cheikh.

Shrimm asked from Houthis to stay on the negotiations table to discuss the UN proposals that includes delivering Hodeidah and its port, pay salaries, handing over of heavy weapons to a third party and the initiation of a constructive political dialogue. However, the Houthis have set conditions and obstacles to any international efforts to achieve peace.

Shrimm met in Sanaa with many Houthi leaders including the head of the coup government and the so-called Political Council and other Houthi leaders.
